About us
Behind every successful brand there is a small but big story and years of hard work. Why Mill Valley? It all started in Mlynská dolina in Bratislava (Mlynská dolina means Mill Valley). Back in those days when posters were made in Duotone and the prepress process was a real tall order. We used to make animated banners in Flash, which is somewhere in software heaven today, along with the Flash player.
Later, in 2009, thanks to a few enthusiasts, the production agency MLV | Mill Valley was born. Our creative solutions ranged from graphics, DTP and illustration to video production and live streams.
We were one of the first companies in the country to do live streaming on a professional level. It has been 15 years and counting.
In our filmmaking career we also took aerial footage with our own squadron - octo-, hexa- and quadcopters at a time when this technology was still in its infancy. There were only three companies on the market at that time doing this kind of filming at a professional level.
Later we moved from Mlynská dolina to Trnavské mýto, where we filled a few offices with animators and illustrators. We started a series of long-term projects with our clients in the form of e-learning and educational animated videos. We drew all the characters by hand, some directly in front of the camera, and we cut the objects and text out of paper. It was creative and interesting work, but the pressure of production was increasing, so we started animating in a big way and went digital. The rest of the team was still doing video production and live streaming.
After a couple of years, it was time for a change again and we moved to Račianska Street. This way we became more accessible to our team and clients and it's suddenly easier to get everywhere.
During the pandemic, radical changes were needed in every field. We innovated our technological processes and services, we explored and tested new software and technology. Post-COVID events turned from online into hybrid ones and we tuned up our Studio at Račianska Street (MLV studio), added a large panoramic LED wall, and now we do hybrid events with a capacity of up to 60 people there.
We've been live streaming and doing live broadcasts in a big way for 15 years, we built our own outside broadcasting trailer (OBT van), we provide services for TV and of course we're committed to making videos - both filmed and animated. We enjoy this work, find it fulfilling, and pride ourselves in making every member of our team feel that way. Each of our clients knows that they can rely on us 100% and that we will handle every task with dedication.
